Frequently asked questions
What is See It. Cook It.?
See It. Cook It. is an app that turns a food photo into an AI cooking video. Take a picture of a dish or pick one from your gallery, choose yourself or an AI chef as the presenter, pick a kitchen, and the app generates a cooking video you can download and share.
Do I need a camera, studio or cooking skills?
No. All you need is a photo of the food and your phone. There's no filming, lighting setup or cooking experience required.
How do credits work?
Credits are required to generate videos. Each completed video generation uses 399 credits under our billing and refund policy. You can see your balance in the app and on the Free Credits page after signing in.
How do I get free credits?
Enter your email in the Get Free Credits form, then sign in or create your account and verify your email. Once signed in, you can request sponsored credits when available. Requests are open when your balance is below 399 credits, and are subject to available sponsor inventory, eligibility and fair-use checks. Allocation sizes vary and are never more than 9,000 credits per request.
Why can't I request more credits right now?
If you have 399 credits or more, you already have enough to create a video. Create another video first, then come back when your balance is lower. Requests can also be paused if sponsored credits are temporarily unavailable or a daily limit has been reached.
Does a subscription give me unlimited videos?
No. A subscription unlocks unbranded downloads of your generated videos while it's active. Credits are still required to generate each video, and you can request additional sponsored credits when eligible.
How much does a subscription cost?
$24.95 per month or $199 per year, billed through the App Store or Google Play.
Will my videos have a watermark?
Without a subscription, generated videos carry Chew branding. You can download an unbranded copy of an individual video for $1.99, or subscribe to download unbranded videos while your subscription is active.
Can I appear in the video myself?
Yes. With Be the Chef you can use your own likeness as the presenter, or choose an AI chef avatar instead. Only use likenesses you have the right to use.
Will my videos be published on the website?
Not unless you choose to. Videos are private by default. In future you'll be able to submit a video for the gallery; it stays private until you opt in and our team approves it, and you can ask for it to be removed at any time.
Which devices are supported?
See It. Cook It. is available for Apple and Android devices through the App Store and Google Play.
